How corrections work

If a number on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it on the page and record the change here rather than editing it away. Where this site and Galt Credit’s current disclosures disagree, the lender’s disclosures are correct — check them before you sign anything.

What counts as a correction

Anything that changes what a reader would conclude: an amount, a rate, a fee, a term, a state availability, or the lender’s legal role. Fixing a typo or rewording a sentence does not, and is not logged.

Log

  • Texas lender role corrected

The site originally described Galt Credit as a direct lender in all four states. Its own Texas disclosure states otherwise: in Texas, Galt Financial Solutions LLC operates as a Credit Services Organization and Credit Access Business and arranges the loan with an unaffiliated third-party lender. Every page now says so, and the Texas page explains what it means for a borrower.

  • Loan maximum split by state

"Up to $1,500" was being shown to every reader. Texas caps loans at $1,000. Amounts are now stated per state, and choosing your state in the header narrows every figure on the page to the one that applies to you.

  • APR moved to the first screen

The annual percentage rate published in the lender’s Texas fee schedule, approximately 598%, now appears on the homepage rather than on an inner page, alongside the total of payments.

Report something

If a figure here does not match the lender’s current disclosure, we want to know. Use the contact details on the about page and include the page address and the figure you believe is wrong. Rates, fees, amounts and availability change, and a site covering high-cost credit that lets its numbers drift is worse than no site at all.

Why this page exists

Anyone can claim to be accurate. A dated log of the times we were not is the only version of that claim a reader can actually verify. It is also the reason the review date at the top of every page means something: pages are re-checked against the lender’s published disclosures on a schedule, and when a check changes a number, it lands here.
